ACM Microbiology

We perform a variety of traditional sensitivity tests as well as customized antibiotic panels. All Microbiology testing is performed on-site. Clinical trials have been performed or are ongoing in the following areas:

Bacteriology - routine cultures, traditional antibiotic sensitivity tests, customized antibiotic panels, MIC testing
 
Mycology - antifungal susceptibility testing, general fungal cultures, dermatophyte cultures
 
Mycobacteriology - routine cultures
 
Virology - herpes virus culture and typing, respiratory virus isolation and identification
 
Parasitology - ova and parasite exam, parasite antigen detection, trichomonas culture

Molecular DiagnosticsRNA/DNA extractions, viral load assays.

 

A standardized approach to electronic reporting of results has been developed for microbiology to streamline the data management component and expedite output of results.
